Ristorante La Buca delle Fate

Description Wide rooms obtained, with an exemplary restoration, from the wine cellars of the sixsteenth-century Gonzaga Palace. Fosco, in the kitchen, ensures constant fidelity to the traditional cooking of the zone. Rossana, in the dining-room, occupies herself with the guests, offering an homely, but faultless service, that has the secret power to transform the customers in friends.

The cooking At the Buca delle Fate (Hole of the Fairies: a little bit mysterious name that remember an ancient Etruscan installation of the zone) it's possible to find all the local specialties, above all the "pici," a kind of spaghetti handmade one for one. The pici are one of the classical poor dishes of the country kitchen, made with a mix of water and flour with the addition of a oil's spoon and some salt. They must be seasoned with the ragů (sauce with meat), or "all'aglione" (sauce with garlic) and served quickly in well hot plates. Closed on monday. Reservation is advised.
