The villa is set in a Pine-Wood on top of a small hill in 5000 sq.m. of beautiful gardens from where there are lovely views over the medieval town of Camaiore, the Camaiore valley and the Apuan Alps. It was built at the start of the 20th century by Ermete Zacconi, who, along with Eleonora Duse, was one of the principal actors on the Italian stage around the turn of the century. The villa is still owned by the family and has been recently and carefully renovated, paying great attention to maintain its unique charm; offering guests a pleasant and comfortable stay in this wonderful private house which for the first time is opening its doors to those seeking a quiet and restful environment in this beautiful corner of Tuscany. The bedrooms are furnished with antique furniture and have been tastefully redecorated and are equipped with en suite or private bathroom and TV, they all have views onto the garden. Breakfast will be served in the dining area inside the villa or in the garden depending on the weather. It will consist of bread, rolls, croissants, home made jams, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit juice
and season fruit.. The large garden surrounding the villa has been designed so that there is always something in flower.It features many plants which are typical of the area and boasts two enormous ancient Cedars of Lebanon as well as a wide variety of roses which when they bloom crate a mass of different colours. When the weather permits breakfast, and on request candlelit dinners, can be taken outside.
