The Farm "Villa Nottola" has its own vineyards in the area of Montepulciano and especially in the most favourable points; these vineyards of very high qualitative level have been carefully selectioned so to be included in the disciplinaries for the production of "Nobile" wine, Chianti dei Colli senesi and Rosso di Montepulciano. The grapes are naturally cu1tivated, without use of chemical substances, pesticides or herbicidals. Our farm complex has the equipments for the wine-making, for the ageing and refining of the Nobile di Montepulciano and has also got a modern bottling plant, with modern fittings which are highly advanced in Europe concerning the aenological technique.In our large tasting room we organise luncheons and rural dinners, group tastings in English too. You can taste the wines of Montepulciano, the almond- biscuits "cantucci" with the dessert wine "vinsanto", the grappa, the green olive oil, the sausages and the "pecorino" cheese, marmelades and honey comfortably sitting around the friar-tables admiring the vaults and the wooden-beam ceilings of the typical Tuscan cottages.
